New vehicle disclosure laws

Purchased what I thought was new 2017 ram 2500 in sept of 2017. Long story short is I decided a few weeks ago I’d upgrade to diesel. Went to trade in and dealers were offering me less than fair blue book for truck that is in fantastic shape. When I questioned dealers they said there was damage done on vehicle and they couldn’t offer me full trade on truck because of this. Truck was purchased from what I thought was reputable dealer as a new truck. No damage was reported to me at purchase time. Not sure what my next step is here. Do I contact lawyer? Colorado law states that any damage over 1500 dollars must be disclosed to buyer. Not trying to get new truck out of the deal just trying to get fair trade value. Thoughts here?

Contact the Colorado consumer fraud division (or what ever they call it in CO) and ask for their help. If that doesn't work then call a lawyer. I would also go to the dealer and ask to speak to the General Manager and ask him to make it right (make notes when you talk with him so he can see you are documenting his response) and get a car fax report so you will have all of that when you talk to the lawyer. Good luck!
