newbie to 5th wheel

I have a Jayco Eagle HT 29.5 BHS and it has a Reese Revolution pinbox on the trailer. Now i have a 2016 Ram 2500 so my question is with the reese Revolution pinbox do i still need a slider so i do not hit the box of my bed or will the Revolution pinbox be just fine and get a stand alone 5th wheel hitch. Is there anything bad about this type of pinbox.

My father has a '16 ram ccsb and tows a cougar 5er. He has a companion non-slider and the standard hitch and has no issues turning. He just got back from ft. Myers beach from south jersey on his first trip with the new truck and loved the set-up. I think you'll be fine with or without your Reese.

I have a 2007 Ram 2500 and the same 5th wheel and pin box. I use a non-slider Pullrite and have lots of clearance. Don't need a slider and they are too heavy to remove from bed of truck while not in use. Revolution system is excellent and can use more of the truck storage. How does your trailer and truck ride, meaning is it level and is your truck a 4x4

Don't have a ram, but a Chevy which has maybe 2" longer beg. I just picked up an Eagle HT. I'd say if you have the revolution pin box then there's no need for a slider. I don't have the revolution, so had to get a slider, but even when it's still in the forward position I can turn very sharp. With the revolution you'll be good.

Truck is 4X4 i have not pulled the trailer with the truck yet. Had a TT and bought the new trailer and new truck in November and have not taken it out yet. Trailer was delivered to parents house for storage. Just looking to see if pinbox will work and looking for the right hitch to buy.
