Options for TV

Newbie to the forum and camping in trailers. We have a 2016 Jay Flight 287 BHSW and currently own a 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. Thinking of upgrading to Chevy 2500 with towing package. What is your opinion? Stay with Chevy (have owned Tundra before), or do you think other brands are better?
Thanks,
Steve

I think if you do a search using the search feature at the top of the page you will find hundreds of threads on which is the best truck for whatever RV. An almost weekly question asked by people just starting out and "which truck" is really subjective. Ford, Chevy, Dodge and we start a long, long thread on why my truck is the best

Start with a google search of "can I tow this" and you will find several calculators that will help you decide if what you have will work or you need a 3/4 ton.

All the brands have their issues. They are all capable, so it comes down to the features you want and price. I would never pick the chevy/gm, because the seats are uncomfortable for me. I know two people who have had major turbo issues in new Fords.

JMO but I'd go F250/350 with the 7.3 gas and 10 speed trans.
Heard nothing but good about it. It had some early issues but were resolved.
Chev would be my 2nd choice.
As a 10 year Ram customer and current Cummins owner and as much as I like my Ram 3500 I would pass on the Ram 6.4 Hemi. Just not as strong as the 6.6 or 7.3.
