Payload 2016 F150 Supercrew Real World Numbers

Here is a post from the F150 Forum for any that may be contemplating whether it is worthwhile getting the Heavy Duty Payload Package. While not a Lariat or Platinum, the XLT has enough creature comforts for most:

2016 F 150
4x4
SuperCrew
3.5 eco boost
157 wheelbase (6'6" bed)
3.73 axle
301A package
Max Trailer Tow
HD Payload
Extended Range Tank
Black platform running beds
Trailer Tow Mirrors - manual/power glass
Sync 3
Navigation
Tailgate step
Spray in bed liner (Ford)

Very nice! I bet that payload exceeds some 3/4 tons with the extra weight of a Diesel engine. Nice looking truck!

Something to be said for shedding 700+ pounds of steel and subbing aluminum.

That's a 1000 lbs more payload than our 2010. Crazy!

It feels a bit like looking at a unicorn.

You always hear about optioning the F150 EB with Max Tow and HD Payload, but you can't ever find one. I am betting this was a customer order, not dealer stock order and off the lot purchase.

The 2434 is only ~ 400 lbs lower than my Duramax.

Wonder what that configuration sells for? I imagine it's every bit as much as a gasser F250.

Interesting

Saw a GMC 1500 2016, short box, 5.3, 6 speed with the 3.73
Payload o 2222
GVRW of 7600
Towing capacity of 10800
Combine of 16700
But salesperson told me they are rare... Why?

Same with the Ford...

So now 2 possible options,GMC or Ford?

That is a nice setup. Looking at Ford.com, it's almost the same price as an equally configured F-350. (Gas)
