I love GMT-900 series trucks in white, looks great. Pick up some rear wheelhouse liners though, they should really include them from the factory on all trim levels since it cleans up the look so much.

I'm not familiar with these. Are they similar to the plastic inside the front wheel wells? Do they offer protection? Where can you get them?

Yes, they are very similar to the front liners. In my opinion they offer additional rock protection from the painted areas inside the wheel well of the bed. However, I got them because I think that it makes the rear wheel wells look better. I will send you a PM regarding where I ordered them from.

The break controller is seamless and well integrated. You can adjust the settings right from the steering wheel depending on weight of load. Then after a few adjustments going down the road, you don't even feel it behind you. And I'm hauling about 15,500 lbs. Dodge did good on this one!

Integrated Trailer Brake Controller

Hi Kroakjr,

I'm glad to see some positive feedback on the Ram ITBC. I also have a 2012 Ram with this unit and have heard nothing but horror stories on the 2010 & 2011 units. I haven't had the chance to use it yet....so your post is comforting!

Our new setup. Love both of them. Can't wait to get out and use them. Told my buddy, "Now we will get a ton of snow". Had only an inch or two all winter. Since truck and camper, he told me good call. Another 4"-6" tonite.

I finally purchased a truck worthy of towing my X23J, no more over-taxed Ford Explorer. I purchased a new to me 2009 F150 crew cab FX4. It is so clean it could pass for brand new. 60,000 miles. 5.4 Triton, towing package, factory brake controler with anti sway, plus all the luxury goodies. Plans on further away campgrounds are now in the planning for the summer!

I did the same, traded in my explorer for for an F150 to tow that very same trailer. Be careful... you will forget its back there. Now where upgrading our trailer. I miss the luxury of my loaded explorer, but love my F150.

Thanks Biker crd,
I've always been a Dodge guy and I love my first diesel. I see your '06 Liberty is a diesel? I know my
son (at UNOH to become a diesel mechanic) said the '13 Liberty's were going to have a diesel option
and didn't realize that earlier models were diesel powered.

05 & 06 you could get diesel. The new emissions standard came out in 07 and the engine could not meet it. Good hear they coming out with the diesel Liberty again, it is a great set up for towing. The first new car I bought 35 years ago was Dodge truck short box 1500 225 slant 6 and 3 on the tree manual transmission. Drove it to the bone yard with 250,000+ the rust took over, been Mopar ever since.

The 5.4 is a great engine with good low end torque. It's still put in motorhomes and the econoline. It got even better when they added a six speed tranny. As far as gas mileage it is only one mile gallon less then the 5.0 and two miles per gallon less then the ecoboost (combined highway and city) as per (fueleconomy.gov).

2004 Ford Expedition XLT Sport with HD Tow Package hooked to a 2013 JayFlight 26BH. Towed it home to VA from PA about 2hrs without any issues at all. Was able to climb the mountains at and acceptable speed with no change in engine temp. I will be watching the temps in the summer months. I do plan to add a larger transmission cooler before the temps start to rise dramatically.
