No worries.

Congratulations on the new trailer. It will be a long winter waiting to use it I imagine.

Yes new (not counting Big Rig time) to pulling a trailer but not new to RV'ing. We had a Greyhawk 26ds for a few years but wanted more flexibility at camp since we tend to stay at places for a week or more. Already spent time doing a bedframe/pass through storage mod but now our fall/winters have begun (that means a lot of rain or snow in the PNW). So nothing to do but wait. But at least that gives me time to get some miles on the truck (traded in a 2012 RAM 1500 Hemi) before pulling the trailer (other than the 20 miles so far)....

I towed with my previous truck (pictured) for 17 years. I loved that old square body 1997 Ford F350 7.3 Powerstroke. Did all the mods reasonable to try and keep up with the increasingly heavier trailers: Banks Intercooler, Superchip, Banks Trans-command, 19.5 wheels, Yukon 4.10s, gauge cluster etc...

Finally, the Ford dealer convinced me of the advantages of the new trucks (the big 3 brands) that are all engineered now to tow big/heavy trailers. Sold the '97 for half of what I paid for it. First time in my 2014 Ford hauling my previous 35 foot 5th wheel over Steven's Pass (WA.), I was actually laughing with pleasure.

New '17 Ford F-250. I've added a few things; chrome half mirror covers and a 6.2l badge on both sides. Click image for larger version

Here is my 2017 F250 CCLB 6.2l 4x4 4.30 gears. Dropping off the camper for warranty work a few weeks back. I removed the 4x4 stickers as they are grotesque and I do not care for them. Also removed flex fuel badge. I need to change my user name as I got this to replace the 2015 Ram I had. After 2 years of ownership the Ram was not appealing to me any longer. The Ford is a much more comfortable ride for the long hauls. Also a better towing experience with a superior transmission and 4.30 gears.

Thanks. It’s actually a necessary option as I live in an area with lots of deer. Both wife and I have had encounters with them in the past

We have the same problem here. We are kicking around replacing my wife's truck this year and I will be adding something similar from the beginning. A couple of my friends here have full Road Armor or Buckstop bumpers, but I'm not as excited about that look as a nice clean grill guard like yours.
