Power Stop Truck and Tow Upgrade

I am preparing to upgrade our brakes on the RAM. We have 90k on the brakes. They are getting down to the 25-30% area. I have purchased Power Stop Truck and Tow performance rotors and pads for the front and rear.

Has anyone done this job? How did it go? What do you think about your brake upgrade(s)?

I just had the rear brakes on my F350 rebuilt. Only the 2nd time in 137k miles.

it is a pretty straight forward job. on my truck I had to remove the caliper bracket to get the front rotors off, just two bolts. biggest thing is if you do not have a tool to push the pistons back in the caliper but that can be done with a c clamp and an old brake pad. don't forget to take the brake fluid cover off.
take your time and it should go well. I have the ebc rotors and pads on the front and powerstop rear shoes. braking performance dramatically improved and am very pleased with the performance.
don't forget to follow the instructions on breaking in the new pads and rotors.

One of the key things in braking is good fluid. Brake fluid absorbs water and should be flushed and changed every 3 years or 30K. Takes about an hour and 2 people to do it. I put DOT 4 in all mine.

It makes a difference in the stopping ability.

Doing disk brakes is easy just bleeding them can be a pain... When I bought the truck I upgraded to drilled and slotted rotors and performance pads.. whoa is more important than go...

Flush them too, you should also replace any rubber hoses that go to the calipers. Plenty of videos on YouTube. Have plenty of brake cleaner on hand too. Remember lefty loosey is opposite when you’re not looking at the head of the bolts. PB Blaster on everything the night before you start the project.

When you replace your rubber brake hoses upgrade to braided stainless, the difference is dramatic.
