Protecting my connections!

Drove into New York today with the toad to visit my daughter and my new 2 week old grandson! (From 10’ wearing a mask),
While parking my car with the hitch luggage carry on the back, I took my usual spot in front of her house, while walking away I realized how close I was to the car in front of me and My attention was immediately drawn towards my umbilical cord connection! If the person in front of me backed up 5” or more to get out of their spot, that would be the end of my connection! So I moved my car. This is something I never really gave a second thought to, just another reason to stay away from congested New York streets and tight parking! LOL

Has anyone had an incident like this happen where the parked car in front destroyed the toad connections? I’m just curious. If so how badly was it damaged?
