Question for Timbren Users

I’m contemplating adding these to my 350 to help with squat caused by the 5th. It seems to me that they will reduce the squat but not eliminate it. The rubber sits 1” or so off the axle and when the load is applied the suspension will squat until the rubber meets the axle and compresses enough to prevent additional squat. If my reasoning is good about how these things work how much of the squat was eliminated on your rig. I have about 3100# on my pin at present and would like a little more level ride.
I expect bags would get me what I want but bags would lead to a compressor and up fitter switches which would lead to a storage tank which would lead me to air horns. I hear the $$$-meter going “ding-ding-ding” kinda like a slot machine running in reverse.

I have had them for 5 years and like them. My loaded pin weight is 2800 lbs and the little squat I had is gone. Also it seems to ride better.

When not towing they are not in play at all.

My question is do they work? I’ve got 2016 F250 when you load the bed of truck with firewood and coolers plus hook the 295bdok it wants to squat a bit!! I’ve tried to adjust my anti sway hitch a bit but still squats. Just looking for more ideas not really wanting to put bags on if I can get away from it

timbren ?

I agree with your logic Red Horse 1.
I just installed a set of timrens and made 1 short trip.
I have aprx 2000 lbs of pin wt.
Before the timbrens I had 4ins. of sag at the bumber hitch.
After install and measured after use I had 2 1/2ins. of sag.
I have made and installed 1/2in. spacers for the timbrens
but have not tried them yet. I did not want to install the supplied
1in. spacer which would put the timbren on the axle. I run bobtail
to often and enjoy the trucks empty ride. I would expect that I
should be at 2ins. of sag. Install is easy.

I have air bags and can adjust height and ride where I want it. But the best part is the air horns. I have to go thru Atlanta on most of our trips and they do come in handy.

I have had them on my last three trucks. On my current set up, when I am hooked up, my truck still sits 1.5 inches high in the rear over the front. I like them and would recommend them. I like the fact that you install and forget. Good luck.

I have had them on my truck since 2010 and they work great. The best part is zero maintenance. Put them on and forget them. I like that.

I've been running mine for 4 years and like them. I have a bumper pull though.

On our way back to Houston from Disney, I’m really liking the Timbrens. Much less squat and a pure seat of the pants analysis says the ride is better. Glad I went this route.
