Is that the radiator, or the A/C condenser? The condenser is usually in front of the radiator. If it's not leaking antifreeze or Freon, it shouldn't be a major concern right now, but if it was me, I'd get it repaired or replaced fairly soon.

I agree, looks more like AC, they are in front of the rad. If you have no cold air then it's leaked out. Can also check from the fill port by giving it a quick push with a screwdriver to see if any pressure (Schrader valve behind cap on a hard line).

good question. i will double check. The AC is very cold so if it is the AC, it hasn't leaked. thanks for the help!

Is this for the F250? The angle makes it look a bit odd. I see bikes in the background. I suspect this is the radiator itself, and it is near the fan, inside the engine compartment. Did a cat get up inside the engine?
If I am correct I would be a bit concerned about performance while towing. Probably just fine for everyday use.

yes its an f250. the angle looks weird because the reflection on the chrome front. the damage is bottom right corner. when i go in an double check if the damage is to the AC condenser vs the radiator i will take better pictures.

If a cat did that much damage it would have been still stuck there
In my experience cats are like other wildlife... they bounce around under truck.

That is some shiny chrome! You can come over and polish my vehicles!
I suspect it was not a bird that did that damage, maybe a full water bottle of other bird sized object.
If you can crawl under the truck and look at the radiator from the back side, and see if what the damage might look like
To me it looks pretty mangled and pushed in.

At a minimum have an AC specialist look at it. Chances are this needs to be replaced.

I went out and took a look at my ‘13 350 and I think that’s the radiator we are looking at. My condenser ends above where we are looking. It looks like a couple of the tubes may be crushed and could have no coolant flowing thru. As stated, lower performance from the radiator.

thats just the a/c condenser. as long as nothing came through and touched the radiator you should be fine, i would crawl underneath and make sure you still have some air space between it and the radiator. if its touching, you will be eating a radiator in short order. if you are using the a/c this time of the year you may notice some issues with cooling performance

so after re-checking it is the actual radiator. it was located at the bottom right side looking at the front of the truck. from what i can tell the last 2 rows of tubing are bent but not kinked or completely obstructed. at this time it is ok but I will end up replacing it within a couple of months just to be safe. no sign of over heating even during a short tow although the outside temps are not high it was about 80 degree outside during the tow to joshua tree including some really steep grades. the engine temp didn't budge.
thanks all for the help.
