I drive 91 miles round trip to work every day. I'm envious!

OR and there are lors of hills in any direction I tow. I was leaning towards a diesle but it may not make a good commuter truck based on what some of you are posting.
Diesels need to get up to temp and run, if that 1/2 mile is all you would drive it other than when towing diesel might not be the best vehicle for the commute. Now if you commute a 1 mile round trip a day, but you are still putting the typical 10-15k miles per year on truck you will certainly have plenty of opportunity to get that truck up to temp for extended times.

So far the advice of getting a puddle jumper and a disel makes the most sense. My half mile commute to work is all down hill in the morning. I would walk but then I run several errands with my job daily (all in town). Thanks everyone for you guidance.

Great looking truck! The only thing missing is the big blue oval that says Ford! Just kiddin, love that color and I hear the 6.4 is a beast! More than enough truck for towing. New truck and trailer, I did the same thing 2 years ago. Congrats and enjoy

Yeah. I let my wife talk me into the bigger trailer, and the Titan just wasn't big enough. The trailer was pushing us around when coming down out of Spanish Fork Canyon on highway 6. It only took once to convince me. Only regret is the Titan would have been paid off in August, and I reset the clock for another 4 years.

Oh well. It's only money, and you can't take it with you.

Yes it is only money, that's how I see it too. I had my 2004 fifth wheel paid and my 2008 ram paid, then I decide to go and buy a new fifth wheel. Nothing wrong with the old one, just wanted a new eagle. Back to making payments ha ha, but like you say can't take it with you! Very nice truck you have there, that 6.4 is something I may be considering further on down the road, let us know how it tows and performs.

Just seen these thread. I picked up my first Ram in many years. It is 2014 Ram 2500 6.4 with 3.73 rear end. Pulling a 2001 Jayco 5th wheel 29rks. This weekend will be the first time out with the new truck.
