Reese Titan 16K Hitch with Slider HEIGHT?

I have spent too much time online looking for info on what to alter to be able to tow level. I am about 6 inches nose high. This all started with noticing bucking/bouncing with this 5W. Then I got curious and measured my hitch.

I purchased a fancy Reese Hitch with height adjustment "14-18". I am at the second to the lowest setting and from truck bed to top of plate leveled- I am 18+ inches. As I see it it should be about 15. (One more spot down then I lose my slider feature).

Reese website gives the height adjustment. A popular hitch online retailer video states the measurement is from the truck bed to the top of hitch plate.

UNLESS it's the height from the TOP of the round slider tubes, then the height is inaccurate. I am wondering if in order to tow closer to level, I might need a new hitch. Suggestions? Thank you

Chucking / surging.......

I have a superglide that also used to clunk and surge when coming out of a turn.... Is that what you describing?

Maybe bucking/bouncing is a better description. An almost constant slight back and forth motion in the ride. Happens all the time unless the highway is super smooth.

sorry, I went and looked at your sliding hitch, and it's not like mine. I was going to offer advice, but it won't help
