Roadmaster Even Brake 9400

Good Evening

So I've got Redhawk 29XK that I'll be towing a 2014 Wrangler with. I've recently purchased the Even Brake 9400 and I guess I was expecting an umbilical that connects to the 8 pin on the rear of the Jayco and then to the front of the jeep.

I understand the concept of the Even Brake and I get installing it, but what I'm not so comfortable on is what or how does the Jayco tell the towed vehicle it's braking?

I'm just trying to make sure I understand the braking side of this at least.

The lights and 12volt plug and all I can manage, I just don't get how the even brake gets the information from the camper that it's breaking.

Thanks
