Shock Absorbing Ball Mount with WDH?

Hello. I recently learned about cushioning your ball mount. (no wise cracks please) There is some question about if these can be used with a WDH. I'm wondering if anyone on this forum has used some type of ball cushion or shock absorbing ball mount with a WDH or knows why you can't. I'd really like to smooth out the ride while towing as it affects me in a bad way. Here are two possibilities. The amazon one is a cushioned ball. The other is the whole mount. Thanks in advance.

Never seen one or heard of one before. I would consult with the manufacturer of your WDH if they would have a problem with them. I don't say I think they will have a problem with them, but I would call Andersen ( my brand of WDH) and ask.

My question is why do you need one? My Andersen hitch has smoothed out the pull will very little bounce. Do you have to light a hitch weight? Hitch weights below 10% tend to make trailers behave badly.

Never seen one in use towing a TT, even without a WDH.

I personally wouldn't recommend the use of one with a WDH (if it's even compatible) because the product would incorporate an added weak link (joint), and IMO compromise the WDH weight distribution effectiveness.

Just thinking out loud
