Steering tires
What tires are you using on your tow vehicle steering?
Going to need to replace mine before too much longer. Have BF Goodrich now (liked them until realized they did not wear very well)

I had BFG previously. They actually wore great. I got about 70k miles out of them. I just replaced them a couple months ago with Michelin LTX AT2

Firestone Transforce HT. On my 2nd set. So far so good. I bought the road damage coverage on them.

Continental ContiTrac TR light truck (load range E).
In the 13yr and 355,000mi I've had my truck, they have given me the best mileage etc. They are not a very aggressive tread so may not be suitable for everyone.
I've had other brands (BFG, Firestone, & Goodyear), but never tried Michelin.

I have endured the Continentals that came on it. They wore out prematurely. Then I tried Michelin LTX2. Had problems with cracking that they would not address or warranty.

I run Cooper A/TW on my 2wd Dually 7.3L. Personally I run the same tires on the front and rear. I want equal turning and braking traction on the front. Personally, I’ll never run just a “steering tire” on my truck, if it costs a bit more so be it.

Did you have problems with the original equipment Continental tires on your new truck or ?? Have your tried the Continental ContiTrac TR load range E tires?
As I've posted, I've had the best results with the Continental ContiTrac TR tires. I've had wear problems and sidewall bulging issues on other tires I've tried.
