SumoSpring Solo

Yesterday I added SumoSpring Solos to my F150. I like the truck's ride unloaded but wanted to stiffen it up when towing. I opted for the 1500lb springs installed 1" off the axle. Install was quick and easy. I'll post a road report after I tow August 9th.

What I bought: https://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Sus...SR-117-47.html

Road report: Today I put 160 towing miles on my truck and trailer. The SumoSprings are a nice addition to help mitigate sag and bounce in the rear of the truck. In principle they’re similar to Timbrens but they advertise progressive resistance to settle the ride more smoothly. I’m satisfied with the purchase.

I added the Sumos to my GMC 2500 in the hopes of correcting the porpoising I was getting with my fifth wheel. They definitely smoothed things out for me; not perfect but much better.

The Sumos aren’t just for or only for sagging, they can improve the ride when loaded. When unloaded, you can’t tell they are there.
