I just ordered a set of Timbren's from Jet.com. New customers get 15% off first 3 orders. My total was $180.42 shipped. The set # was FR1502D.(these are the 6000 lbs ones) I couldn't find them for less than $214.00. Also readjusted my Reese WD hitch today. It was off as I installed it incorrectly (first timer) by placing one of the anti sway cam mount an inch shorter than the other side. I had to let out an extra inch on the thread to compensate. I hope it will have a little less sway & pull when the big trucks pass me by now.

I use Timbren's on my Suburban and towing is improved.

I have them on my F-250 and love "em, unless I hit a big bump. Install and forget. If I was towing a 5th wheel, probably would have the air bags.

I installed them in about 40 minutes, pretty simple. I did not use the spacer & have about 2 inches on a full tank with no cargo at this time. Will tow TT with 750lbs hitch weight & 700 lbs in cargo next time out. Is it advised to have axle touching when towing?

I readjusted the WD hitch & with the timbrens in I noticed very little sway & a great reduction in rear bounce when towing. Happy with set up now.

As opposed to Timbren's, I have become fond of SumoSprings. The ease of install and use as Timbrens, but the functionality of air bags. Install and forget and get a similar ride as a set of air bags. They are cellular foam rubber, so the act like air bags.

I couldn't stand the factory rake of my Silverado 2500. It was like a cat in heat. So I lowered the back with a set of McGaughy's drop shackles. That brought it to a little over 1" of rake when empty. I put on the Sumo's, and with about a ton of stuff in the back, the pickup then is right at about level. And what a smooth ride with the sumo's.

Never heard of them, I'll look at them as a friend of mine is thinking about timbrens on his Ram 1500

Looked them up on E trailer.com. looks like for F250 & up only?

Sumo's can be had for every truck and SUV around, coil and leaf spring varieties. Probably could even make them work on an travel trailer. They can be used on everything from a Ford Ranger to a motor home.

Matter of fact, just looked in their shopping area and they do make them for trailer axles. Didn't know that. Looks like I will be considering them for that use soon.
