Tire pressure question

I'm sure it's been asked a lot but....
I went from 185/75/13 to St205/75r14 on my Jay Flight X17a.
Tomorrow will be our first time out and I wanted to make sure I have it right.
Tires are at 65psi...so.....dol I have it right?

Thanks for any replies and thanks for being here!

I have learned so much from this site and the many contributers!

...snip
Please provide ...
... the max inflation psi on the side of your tires
and
... the max pressure of your tire rims.

That may depend on the brand of tire you bought, and the load range rating. The max pressure will be on the side of the tire, in small letters. Our TT has 205r-15's, and load range "C", with a max of 50 lbs cold.

IMO, 65psi is what etrailer says to use so it is a great place to start.

The only caution I can think of is that you now have a larger tire with more load carrying ability than your old 13" tire & rims, so keep an eye out for the potential for greater wear at the center of your tires.

5 bolt wheels are probably 65 lb max, as are the load D tires.

I Would inflate to the tire’s max cold pressure. It will be molded into the tire’s sidewall.

Thanks Guys!

We just got home and on the way to Duck Valley the right TT tire would go to 72-74 psi while the left side only went up to 68-69 psi. They are nitrogen filled an I did not expect that. Any thoughts for this newbe?

Was the right tire facing the sun and the left in the shade? That will actually make a difference.

Mine are usually warmer on one side. I attribute it to sun, weight imbalance, or crown on the road. Since it’s normal and common I don’t worry about it.
