Tow Air Bags

I installed one of two tow air bags on my F250 today temps here reached almost 100 today, which didin't help any. It was alot more time consuming than I thought but the second air bag install should go alot more quickly I hope. If anyone is thinking about tackling this project make sure you alot at least a day, in my case two days but because of the heat, I did stop to take a couple of breaks. I'll let everyone know how they work after I get a chance to use them.

It's no fun when its that hot! What bags did you get?

I had the Firestone Ride-Rite bags on my old motorhome and they made a big difference.

Our air bags are now installed but we havn't had a chance to use them yet.

I got the Air Lift 5000 bags. Finished the install yesterday, its funny the first bag took me 6 hours to install, the second one about 1 1/2 hrs. It always seems to go that way. I did get the small air compressor kit but that will wait until it gets a little cooler.
I pulled my ski boat yesterday after I got finished, but that was not a true test, my boat probably has 150 to 200 pounds of tongue weight. I could feel some difference in the ride. I think they will be exactly what I've been looking for when I load up our 330 RLTS, which is rated at 1350 tongue weight. Hopefully we will get a chance to try them out in the next couple of weeks.
