I've been ribbing DW about trading in the WK2 when I go get it fixed at the dealership. She gave me "the look". You been married for any amount of time, you know that look...

I pulled a 4x4 ford explorer for 17 years and 110,000 miles using a Blue Ox 10,000 tow bar. Since I traveled all through Baja california, Canada and Alaska, it was recommended to go with the heavier tow bar. Never had a problem. Now I pull a 2018 Ford Edge and now using the Blue Ox 10,000 Avail tow bar. The arms are 2 inches longer which is really helps on tight corners. I prefer 10,000 capacity, just because it is stronger and can take more abuse on our well maintained roads(HA). I also like having the tow bar stay on the coach when disconnected. I am also using the roadmaster invisibrake system (better than slice bread) and the roadmaster light wiring, toad charge, monitor light and battery disconnect.

I have towed my 2002 Jeep Liberty Renegade with a ReadyBrute Elite tow bar for 5 years & have not had any issues at all. It’s rated for 8000 lbs.
We are just getting ready to get a braking system for our Jeep Wrangler. We already have the Blue Ox tow bar but the ReadyBrute Elite looks likes the easiest to get all set up. It might be worth switching to have it all in one.
