Are you thinking that the metal you're referring to may be the problem? If so, I don't think that would do it. Of course I'm not there and can't physically look at it. Does the metal look crushed beside the center pin?

Yes, it does look crushed. Is it possible I could short something out in the camper if I stick a flat screwdriver in there?

I think I can see what you are talking about but can't say if it looks damaged. If its loose or damaged and causing concern why not just replace the plug itself and be done with it?

Nah, just disconnect the battery first just to make sure.

Question, how does the truck side connector look? The center pins are still there right? Just can't figure out what could possibly be surrounding that center pin. It should be clear..

All connectors are there no issues with the truck side. Not sure was hoping some Jayco owners could look at their pin and see if they have something surrounding their center pin.

I just looked at my connector and there's nothing surrounding the center pin, except a few cobwebs that I cleaned out. I'm able to see down to where the pin mounts into the plastic, which is flat and shiny.

Take a look at the truck side of the the connector. You might be able to gently squeeze the middle pin contact tabs together a bit to tighten up the fit of the connector.

I looked closely at your pictures, and to me it looks like plastic shavings from the plug itself surrounding the middle pin- maybe a minor manufacturing defect. It wouldn't hurt anything to take a small nail and try to pry or scrape it out. Doing that might allow you to seat the plug more deeply into the receptacle. The center pin is just molded into the plastic plug, so there wouldn't be anything that could be damaged by giving that a try.

Thanks for looking. I will have to inspect this further when I tow it back to the house. Not sure what is in there. If you enlarge eithier of my pictures and zoom in, you can see it pretty well.
