Tow Vehicle tires

Ok...gonna replace my tow vehicle tires. 2016 F350, 275/65/18 tires.
Looking at the Firestone Transforce HT
And the Goodyear SRA's. This truck is a daily driver of about 70 miles. Very little if any offroading. Pulling a 14000 lb 5th wheel when camping. Anybody have a recommendation between these two or a completely different tire?

I had the Firestone’s on my previous Ram 2500...although they were 20” rims. But I wouldn’t recommend them...they did not last.

My 2016 Silverado 3500 SRW came with the Goodyear SRA, I wasn't impressed. This could be due to the fact they were factory supplied tires. I'm convinced that all tire manufacturers have 2 grades of tires, those sold to the general public and those told to OEM with the OEM not being a very good tire. I have had several sets of the Michelin LTX AT2 and I have been very happy with them. They are more expensive but I have been getting 80k miles out of them.

I have been using Transforce HT's for years and have got good wervice from them. My truck has 18" rims.

Just had 5 installed in the last weeks.

I had a unique experience that I will start a thread on soon.

I've gotten the best tire mileage and tire wear with Continental ContiTrac LT tires from Discount Tire. (I mentioned where I bought them because I go back every 5,000m for their free rotation and balance. I'm sure that's part of the reason for the excellent tread life.) I'd recommend them to anyone for a LT, highway tire.

My truck has over 350,000 miles and I've tried other brands. I've never had a ContiTrac LT fail for any reason, but have had other name brand tires fail (often under warranty) and had to be replaced.

+1 on the Transforce HT crappy lifespan. I have 16K miles on my Ram and they've just about had it on the outside edges. Might be the way i drive, but i ended up having them flipped so i could get more miles out of them. Probably need to be replaced before the winter...

I ran Firestone Destination A/Ts on my last truck (2500hd) and they wore rather well. I have Continential ConiTracs on my F-250 now and they seem to be wearing rather quickly....I bought the truck with 23k miles on it and (assuming they are OEM) they will probably need to be replaced by 40k miles at the rate they are wearing.

My 2500HD actually did come with the AT2's stock. I really like them. Quiet on the road and seem to be holding up well. Not the most aggressive tire, but my truck doesn't see more than a dirt road.

The LTX AT2 are only SL rated tires. I'm looking for an E rated tire. Looking at the LTX M/S in the E rating.

I run the Firestone Destination At's on my Ram 2500. Love the tire. Tough as nails and fairly decent tread life for and AT tire.

Well decided on the Michelin LTX M/S tires...got a pretty good price from Discount Tire. Will let everyone know how they perform.
