Tow vehicles

Just saw an interesting video regarding the new aluminum body parts that Ford is using. For anyone with a new Ford with the aluminum bed, is what this video shows, true? New Chevy Silverado ad attacks aluminum Ford F-150...with stones | Fox News

Ive heard the 2017 Super Duty trucks will also be using aluminum parts. I am all for keeping weight down but not sure if I would go for it at this cost, if this video is correct. Please understand that I am not bashing any truck manufacturer. For the record, I drive a Ford Super Duty.

From the article:
Through the end of May, F-Series sales were up over seven percent to 324,307, while the Silverado's dropped nearly 13 percent to 223,990 compared to last year. Those figures include super and heavy duty versions of the pickups, Fordís not featuring aluminum beds.
(But doesn't say if 2017s will)

That ad has been making its rounds. My idea is ... don't drop heavy items into its bed. And if you insist then add one of those heavy flexible rubber liners to take the shock.
