Towing a grey water dolly

I hope this is not off topic for this area but I have a thetford tote (new design) and need to see what is the most affective way to cover the ball so the handle that fits over the ball does not come off? I 'towed' this to the dump station one day and due to the road conditions the handle jumped off the ball. The dolly went rolling down the hill without me. I looked into a Pintle type ball cover but those are expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would suggest a short bungee strap Connect it to where you connect your chains and come around the ball to hold the tow bar of the tote down

Short bungee is what I use. Haven't had it pop off yet.

+3...that's what I do. Doesn't come off.

Mine is a 2 wheeler and the tongue weight holds it down nicely.

I use a hitch plat form and a 25 gallon tank. The 25 gallon is easy to load........for me at 71 anyway.

that about a 200 lb dead lift so good for you. The bungee strap did work. Thanks for the advice
