Per Clint Eastwood, how lucky do you feel. Hope it all works out with a new vehicle and great towing ability.

You're on your own with the wife situation.

Towing Jay Flight 29BHDB with Half Ton

If you do end up divorced, at least you'll have a nice camper to stay in!

You won't regret the upgrade - just be sure to check the payload sticker inside the drivers door. It will vary greatly from truck to truck...

Well, I did it. Purchased a new 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT. Got a heck of a deal on it too. My wife says it's "ugly" & looks like a "farm truck". She was kind of attached to the 2014 All-Terrain that I traded in. I think this one will grow on her though.

Congratulations! Nice looking truck. She'll think it's beautiful when it has 29BHDB attached to it.

2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab SLT (my new truck)
Payload = 2,548 lbs.
Rear Axle Ratio = 4.10
Max Trailer Weight = 13,000 lbs
GCWR = 21,100 lbs
GVW = 9,500 lbs

If you guys know any one looking for a new truck tell them to message me. The dealer I go to can't be beat. They're the largest volume GMC dealer east of the Mississippi River.

If you guys know any one looking tell them to message me. I got almost $13,000.00 off before my equity was added in. I got $16,000.00 off total. $42,500.00 out the door. This truck is fully loaded. Navigation, heated leather seats & steering wheel, Z71 & premium plus package, it's got it all.
Enjoy the truck and the much more comfortable tow experience - She looks beautiful...

I really like it. I went back outside a few minutes ago just to sit in it & read the owners manual. Haha.

Jason,

Congratulations!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but since you bought the white one you lost some payload!!!

Honestly, sweet looking truck!!!! We have been pretty happy with our '13 HD 6.0 truck towing the 32 here in Mi.

A suggestion, buy a 2.5" shank for the wdh. That way you eliminate the spacer. Less slop, and no chance of loosing the spacer from leaving it in the receiver hitch.

Enjoying the new tow rig!!!!

I didn't plan on getting a white one. Problem was that they were selling the dang things so quick that I was left with no choice. They had 5 trucks with the features I wanted (fully loaded) at the awesome price I was trying to take advantage of. Three of them were sold already & it was between white & Pepperdust Metallic. I do not like the Pepperdust very much, so I went with white. Now that I have it, I'm glad I did. It looks good & will be easy to keep clean. I'll check Internet that shank! I just bought a new Husky WD hitch.

The White is sweet looking!!!

Not sure what the Pepperdust looks like. May have seen it and didn't know it's called that!!! Lol

If I was to go truck shopping not sure what color I would prefer. Currently have the Blue Topaz, and not sure I like the current Blue they have...... Though if the next truck is a form of Blue, that would make 4 Blue trucks in a row.

Enjoy the new rig combo!!!

Nice grab. I understand the 'buy it quick' thing.

We had not planned on a new truck when we went to the dealer one day. The original dealer had closed. After about 8 months another group bought the dealership. So, there was a bunch of new old stock trucks. And it was Feb, slow time for sales.

They had two 3/4T Dodges. Both diesel. One with all the bells and whistles and one plain. We jumped on the plain one. As we were walking out to the truck someone else was walking in and the salesman told them 'too late, these folks bought it.' Also the only new vehicle that I ever bought for less than the KBB used price. Yep, it was worth more when I drove it off the lot than I paid for it. Still have it.

So, yes, jumping on a deal can be worth it.

That's interesting that they say they are the largest volume GMC dealer east of the Mississippi, because I have heard of at least 2 others making the same claim. They all say they have the best deals. Right now, most any brands will give you "$8-15K off from MSRP".
