Towing recommendation

Just got a 2016 Jay Flight 34RSBS.
I'd like to use a 2014 2500 Ram, Crew Cab, short bed for the tow vehicle.
The 2500 has the 6.4 semi with the 4.10 axle. Payload sticker on the door says 2,924.
Class 5 receiver, max tongue weight 1,800.
Max tow is 15,600
It'll also be my daily driver, thats why I'd like to stay with a 2500 rather than a stiff ride in a 3500.
We tow 12 times a year (6 there, 6 back).

34RSBS has a front bedroom slide so tongue weight is purdy heavy at 1250, this is the listed weight. I won't have it to a scale until weather warms a bit (currently 5 above). I will be using a Hensley hitch, its pretty heavy.
Unloaded weight is listed at 8440, loaded at 10950.
We never travel w water, travel an hour to the campground, its flat (no mountains in Ohio). We have zero plans for traveling long distance.

Any reason the 2500 that I should be concerned with?

None at all. If I were you I would drive all three (Ford, Chevy and Dodge). They seem to be setup a little differently depending on installed options, eg, I have found that 4x4 suspensions are a little stiffer than 2wd. Then pick the one you like the best.

PS we had a Dodge Cummins for many years.

You will have no issues with the Ram. I too went with the 2500 due to the much nicer ride than the 3500. Why Hensley over ProPride?

Thanks for the replies, picked up a 2014 2500 Tradesman today, 6.4 semi, w 4.10 axle, 24,000 miles. looks and rides like a new truck. Doors sticker has 2,950 for load capacity so I feel much better now hauling that big Jay Flight.

Why Hensley over ProPride?[/QUOTE]
I really didn't research a whole lot on ProRide. Things I've read say either one are good choices. I did read that ProRide was more of a permanent mount on the vehicle where Hensley is not. Downside is Hensley approaches 200lbs, not sure weight on ProRide. Will be using for first time as soon as weather warms a bit.
