You're right Doc. But I was replying to owenssailor's original post question, and he stated the GVWR of his trailer was 7000#. If that is incorrect, then he may be OK. I didn't look up the specs for his trailer since he provided the number along with his question.

The Jayco 28U has a dry tongue weight of 750lbs ( website)


The GMC crew cab has a payload range of 1500-1950lbs ( website)


Depending on real payload capacity - he could be pretty close once he and his passengers and gear and beer are loaded

That's for the input guys. This is why we are going with the X213 hope it's a good choice. Yellow stickered at dry 4297 lbs GVWR 5500 dry tongue weight 390
