I should note that I previously owned a Santa Fe and towing this trailer with it was a bit of a nightmare. It struggled with the wind resistance and the back of the Santa Fe got dragged down by the tongue weight to the point where there was too much reduced weight on the front tires. I did a lot of weight shifting/shedding to get the tongue weight down to the specified 350 lbs but it didn't seem to help much.
A weight distribution hitch was not an option with the Santa Fe and I suspect that may also be the case with the Palisade; I believe it's because of the unibody construction not being strong enough. The 2021 Palisade owners manual says nothing about WDH one way or the other.

I would venture to say that the results will be quite similar. I have a 2017 Santa Fe and have taken a good look and drive in a new Palisade. There is no radical difference in the two when it comes to driving manners. It has the same engine and transmission, but is a little bigger and a little heavier. If it were me, I would be looking elsewhere for a different tow vehicle, other than the Palisade. It is a beautiful vehicle with real bang for the buck, but it is not intended to be used as a tow vehicle for a recreational live-in trailer. That also is exemplified by the fact that one is not supposed to fit a weight distribution hitch to its chassis. Good luck with your quest for a new tow vehicle and be safe in your choice.
