Tpms

What tpms are you using for your travel trailer? Do you recommend what you’re using?

I have used a tire minder tm-77 for 3 years. Has always worked well. Not inexpensive but gives me peace of mind. The company also provides me with free batteries when needed.

I had an older TST system, RV510 for 5 years, then bought the TST507 with color monitor last year. So far so good. It came with a signal booster which may not be needed. I put in on just to prevent any flaky signals from the fifth wheel.

I've been using EezTire now for 2 years. I have sensors on my truck and trailer. I have the original black and white display which is easy to read.

X2 on the TST 507. Color monitor is great and it works as designed for last several years. Also have installed the signal booster in front of 5er next to batteries.

Happy RVing,
Jeff

TST and TireMinder are both popular (for good reasons). Neither is a “bargain” but some stuff I don’t cheap-out on. I own a TM, it’s great. Two dramatic tire failures with no collateral damage. My neighbor with no TPMS was not so lucky.

We have a Tire Minder and love it. You can see the wheel temperature and the pressure. We monitor all the tires on the truck asd fiver including the spares. It's good for up to 22 tires.

We just got back from a 2100 mile trip and I was worried enough about the tires on out 5er, even though they had 8/32" that I bought the Tire Minder TPMS-TRL-4 with 4 sensors. I looked at that thing at least 1000 times. We did have a blow out and immediately had the alarm and I was able to see which tire and able to get off the road quickly enough not to shred the tire causing more damage. Boy was I glad I had that. I would not have heard the blow out on the highway. The best $128 I have spent in a long time. Found out I need a taller jack or another block of wood.

Like me you probably didn't feel it either. Hooray for the good guys that didn't have to rebuild the slide out. Just curious what kind of tire and how old? We found when one blows the others aren't far behind. We lost 3 in 400 miles.

Where did you find it for $128?
Is it the solar one?

We have EEZ TPMS. None of them are cheap but well worth the money spent. I fought it for a while trying to hold out from buying one. Then I read all the horror stories of people who didn't have one and things happened. Money well spent.

Did not hear it or feel it. Original tires from Mfg 2015 Eagle, 225/75R15 8 ply. Now I finally have the info from the wheel and its rating. I intend to move up to the 10 ply @ 80 psi what the wheel is rated for. The info is stamped on the wheel. Didn't get much help from Jayco CS.

Take a look at Goodyear Endurance. We've had them for two years and they still look new. They're American made and others are happy. Ours came with a 6 year warranty

Goodyear Endurance - Amazon and eBay usually have them.

Discount Tire is another source for the Endurance.
