Travel Trailer Suspension Upgrade

On my to do list, is a suspension upgrade. I will change out bolts and shackles with a wet bolt kit and will change out the equalizer as well. To those of you who have done this modification have you noticed a better tow experience or just piece of mind by having better quality parts? If you have any suggestions or recommendations, I'd like to hear those also. Thanks.

The final page of this thread shows the process with some photos: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...l-49679-3.html

I am in the process of doing the upgrade right now (put her on blocks and pulled the right side tires last night).

I did my fiver a few weeks ago. Already had the CRE3000 center hanger but both had seized bolts so I replaced them. The nylon bushings were worn out and the cheesy OE shackles had elongated holes. Haven't towed it since the upgrade, that'll be in 6 weeks.

I blocked the whole trailer and took all 4 wheels off at once. Took about 4 hrs worth of work spread over a couple of days (had to wait for the new CRE3000's)

I did the WET bolt upgrade on another rig. I could not notice any difference towing but it already had a Mor/Ryde suspension.

The new parts were worth the peace of mind.

You’re only gaining longer component life and the apparent peace of mind that comes with it. Nothing feels any different going down the road.
