I don't know if this is good or bad.

Tricky part in pulling a 5th wheeler: Need to try to stay within/under GVWR rating of the truck, when everything is fully loaded (including the front part of the 5th wheel trailer, which gives the extra pin weight). The pin weight plus weight of the truck, fully loaded with people, fuel, load coming down on the truck from the RV… ideally is less than (at least not too much more than) the GVWR.
Drive axle capacity can also be an issue, although most trucks are underrated (I have been told… the street conversation has it this way, anyway), so this probably is not an issue.. but, again, that pin weight becomes the key here, and some 5th wheels are very heavy in the front.
Looking around the campgrounds, RV parks: Looks to me like lots of folks are overloaded re: GVWR!! But, it probably works within some limits… as truck manufacturers probably "over-build/under-rate" a bit.
