By adjusting the angle of the hitch head you can control how much torque you are applying with the bars at 6 chain links. Just because the bars are rated at 1000# doesn't mean you have to use all of it.

After reading all this I checked on cost and a WDH is surprisingly affordable on Amazon. Although this itself is pretty heavy and puts more weight on the whole towed weight, they do improve towing over bumps.

The link posted for the Eaz Lift is half the price (and got great reviews) of the highly recommended Equalizer WDH. I wonder why. Because it's made in China maybe? We need to decide on one here soon.

The Equalizer probably has built in sway control. That would explain the price difference.

That's what I thought too but description said it had it too. Unless I misunderstood something.

Your correct, the "Equal-i-zer" brand WDH has integrated sway control thus doesn't require the separate friction sway control arm.

The Eaz-Lift WDH requires the separate friction sway control arm. Also, if the TT is longer then 25ft most standard WDH manufactures recommend an additional friction sway control arm on the opposite side.

WDH's with integrated sway control (Equal-i-zer, Reese Strait-Line, etc.) will provide enhanced TV handling should a sway event arise.
