WDH Shank Change

I was sold a Husky Round Bar WDH 400-600 Tongue Weight Capacity for my '13 Jayco 228BH hooking up to my old '09 Ram 1500. New TV is '13 Ram 2500; hitch height is 23", TT height is 18". How to I determine the measurement for a longer drop shank is needed to get to the TT height.
Thank you.

I will be in the same situation in a few weeks when I mate my new Eagle 284BHS up to my 2011 GMC 2500 Duramax for the first time.
What I'm going to do is adjust the tongue jack to where the trailer is level.
Then I am going to figure where I have to adjust my Sway Pro WDH's ball mount height to where it is either at the same or slightly above the height of the trailer's coupler.

Blue Ox Sway Pro WDH

The angle of the bars is fixed. So the only things that are adjustable are the ball height and how tight you adjust the bars by how many chain links you grab with the chain brackets.

If there is not enough adjustment holes on my shank to place the ball at the correct height, then I'll get another shank.
But I know that will not be a problem because my newer trailer is higher than my old one. So if anything I'll have to go higher on my shank and not lower.

I just measured the height of the ball on level ground of my old truck and I was able to make that shank fit by turning it over on the new truck. Check out the hitch head angle as well. Then I set the angle of the head close. When hooking up the trailer set your chains on the bars where they were before and adjust your hitch head to get the same amount of tension. Worked for me.

My problem is the shank is way too short, I know the spacing is 1-1/4" between holes. I need to drop down another 4-5 inches, do I add 5-6 incehs to the shank I already have to determine approx. drop needed is where I am trying to figure out.

What I did was get trailer level then measured to top of coupler then got truck on level ground and measured to top of ball then took the difference between the two and I knew how much longer shank I needed. and it worked i think my new shank was 4 inches longer so I could get the drop I needed.
