Went out for a drive and........

brought this home!!!

We had been talking about getting a more powerful TV and we just happened to be in Blanchard, Oklahoma so we stopped by the 13th rated truck sales car lot in the United States (Knippelmeir Chevrolet). There sales staff has got to be the best there is!

I have never had a Truck or Car sales ever go as smooth as this one did. There staff is #1 in my book and I hate car shopping!!!!

If anyone is looking for a new or used truck and are ever in this area I highly recommend them.

Steve,

Look in the glove box there should be a GM Service Parts Identification sticker listing a whole bunch of GM RPO codes. The rear end size code normally starts with a "G" (three total digits), then refer to the following link and match your "G" code with one of the "G" codes on the list:

The only reason I know what my gear ratio is (3.73) is because it was on the sticker when I bought the truck new. It was only about a 100.00 option at the time over the 3.42............

Nice link Rustic. I'll be using that one.

I also called a local certified GM dealer and they looked it up with my VIN in a couple of seconds.

I have the limited slip as well. Those are both nice options to have.

Hey mom, guess what followed me home!
Can I keep it? Pleeeeeeze?

Nice! I'm more of a blue oval guy but I'd never turn my nose up at a good GM.
Now, get busy now winding up that odometer.

All ready have a trip planned to Denton, Texas this weekend. Pulling my very first pop up camper there to donate it to a military wife whose husband is in Afghanistan. She had purchased a 1983 Coleman Columbia (which is what I have) and needed some extra parts. Mine, having barely/not survived a major hail storm 2 years ago, seemed like the perfect camper for her to have for parts. Wasn't likely I was ever going to rebuild it so off it goes to serve another family for a few more years!!!

Congrats on the new RED truck. You are just as dangerous as us when we go for a drive? LOL

Thank you for your donation to a military family. I am sure they will really enjoy your generosity.

Well to make a long story short......the Big Red Truck in no more. We were headed to Keystone Lake and a younger couple thought there Toyota Tercel need a closer look at the front end of our truck:

Insurance totalled it out. Frame was bent and the cab was pushed over an inch and a half.

Good news is got another new truck this last Saturday. Not as nice as the Red one but will serve its purpose. It's missing the gearing and posi that the red one had but still pulls the Jayco all right. Will try to get some pictures of the new one up soon.

That is a sad ending.

Sorry the new truck isn't as nice as the one in the picture but glad it still does what you need.
