They also salted the roads here in PA yesterday. Only really an inch or so of snow but they made sure they put down lots of material.

I had washed it last week, and did not drive it due crappy spring weather, had to wipe it down today to wax it, and put some mud flaps on it to keep the road debris off the lower panels and TT (hopefully anyways). The vent visors came with the mud flaps but waiting on getting a chance to tint the front windows to install those. Truck will be done then.

Went to the mechanic to look at the new engine they are putting into it. The old engine, with just 35K miles on it, had to be replaced. The cam shaft magnet sensing gear basically was defective, a known defect. Chevy wouldn't cover the repair even though It was a 2013 with under 35K. Could have purchased a rebuilt one but the new one comes with 3 years unlimited mile warranty.

Wow. That sucks and all Chevy-bashing jokes aside, I am surprised. Did the pistons hit the valves or something?

I thought those had a 100k mile drive train warranty you must have been over 5 years old? they should still do something for you, at least I hope they did...

I think you meant to put this in the “what did you do to your Jayco today” thread...not the tow vehicle thread.

No biggie...we’ve all done it. I just figured you’d want it in the proper thread to help some folks out.

Washed it and cleaned the interior in preparation of our spring break trip. We are headed to Pigeon Forge, TN.

Took it to the dealer. Had the oil changed, tires rotated, air filter changed, washed, in preparation for our trip to Pigeon Forge, TN next weekend.

What truck do you have? I can't see your signature from my phone.

Sorry to hear of your issue.

GMC 6.2L... no big deal.. they have it and gave me a free loaner till it is fixed and they give me a truck so I put miles on theirs... hopefully it won't blow up while towing.. but I have coverage for that... I gave up getting all wigged out about things that fail they all have issues... this one seems to be higher on the issues list though...

Well, I'm happy to hear that it is at least working out to your satisfaction. I always hate to hear of anyone having that type of trouble though.

I do have to say the new engine management systems are pretty top notch... if this would have been older I would be getting a new motor.. It set off the check engine light.. I had it checked knock sensor.. I could hear the tick.. made an appointment the light went out.. it ran okay you couldn't get going fast so I just putted along.. then drove out to the dealer.. and it made it... it wan't happy at the end.... and they are fixing it instead of replacing it...
