Yes...I don’t agree with spot welding the nuts. My problem is if you go get an alignment & the steering wheel isn’t centered, you then have no way to recenter. I won’t be letting the dealership perform recall if they are truly welding the nuts...surely they can come up with something better.

Agreed. Nothing like taking that adjustment out of the front end and having no way to center that wheel for the lifetime of that truck,

Plus, what are the chances of the tech doing the work actually disconnecting the batteries and protecting the electrical system before dropping the weld.....

So far so good for me on the recalls so far - thankfully I haven’t needed any of them.

Put the hitch back in the truck this afternoon as we take the rig in on Monday to get the crack fixed.

Maybe RAM could do the same, weld him/her to the wheel. Why does FCA (formerly Chrysler) always do the quick, cheap and dirty fix rather than actually come up with a repair? Buddy owns a 2009 RAM with a recall and still waiting on parts and how to repair. Dealer said they were told just tighten and weld by FCA until they figure it out. Ten years and still waiting.

He just ordered a 2019 F250. Got tired of waiting.

My wife's 2010 Ram has 2 active recalls. Been waiting on parts for over a year.

Brought it the RV one more time to clean it out. She has sold. Excellent unit and will come back to Jayco in the future.

Did you sell the TV or the trailer? What is the replacement? [emoji3]

Sold the trailer

Still have the Cummins. It still shakes like a crazy mess. I wanted a new Laramie 1500 but couldn’t justify cost and negative equity since I just bought this. Shame really. The payment would almost be the same for a 1500.

Can I ask what prompted the sale? Are you getting another trailer or just taking a break from RVing?

Yeah no worries to ask.

Honest answer...financial goals are becoming more of a reality and this was a big step in the direction to get us that much closer.

I don’t want car payments anymore, I want to be able to afford a 15yr mortgage vs a 30.

So stuff like that.

Gotcha. Once my kids get a bit older and no longer want to hang out with mom and dad when we camp, I may end up doing the same. Of course by that time, my car payment will be done [emoji3]

Check out a 20 year mortgage, if offered in your area. That’s what we went with...rate was lower than a 15 yr & the payment was only $95 more per month than the 30 year. At least it was when we refinanced from a 30 to the 20 back in ‘08.

Thus a great move. I’ll look into that. Thanks

Can’t blame you. Some of our best memories were in that box on wheels.

We have a lot of travel planned for the kids traveling teams so we will still do stuff but for now this fits us ya know.

One day we might be back.

I'm a thoughtful husband...
Last night I plugged in the block heater for the DW. With that and the heated seats she had a nice warm drive to work this morning.

(I was going to do that for Valentines Day, but she got that day off this week.)

DW discovered my Yukon has a heated steering wheel which her Expedition does not. I promised to take care of it. Now, does she get a new $80,000 Expy or a ten dollar case of HotHands hand warmers???
