What did you do to your Tow Vehicle today?

I knew it was too good to be true in regards to my new bumper! My front parking sensors are no longer working...system says to service them. From my reading on line, that’s not good! About to go into the garage and look over all my connections and the wiring.

Dan where did you mount the sensors in the new bumper compared to where they were on the stock bumper?

I mounted them in the same corresponding spots and took photos of each sensor before removal so I would remember the orientation on how each one was seated. I’m out here looking over everything and can’t find any problems????

So the new bumper actually has places to mount them?

I’ll bet you’ll have to have dealer redo the set up in computer

I figured that would make your day!

I had to have that done to my rear camera when it got replaced.
Takes about 2 minutes if that's what it is.

Leaving dealership now...didn't work. They reset the system multiple times and it reverts back. They said there's a short somewhere. They said they'd be happy to trouble shoot it for me, but that with the hourly wages of their mechanics it could get expensive. I said thanks, but no thanks. On the bright side, they didn't charge me to attempt to reset the system and flash it! I'll have to keep trying or I'll just have to live without it. Thanks for the idea Jack.

Great bang-for-the-buck upgrade. You'll be happy with 'em!

How did you find out that the harness was the issue?

I took it to the dealership thinking that it would need just a reflash. The tech came out and told me that there’s a short somewhere, but that he believed it was in the harness. They offered to fix/replace for about $400. I said no thank you! I then started shopping around for the harness and found one for $165 at a parts counter at a dealership in Dallas. It boggles my mind that different dealerships charge more than others for the same parts. I installed new harness and voila...it works.

I bought an used 2017 F250 6.7 Powerstroke with about 29K miles. At 30K miles I took an oil sample and sent it to the lab, changed the oil, and installed an Amsoil BMK28 bypass filter system. I also changed the oil on the transfer case, and replaced the cabin air filter. I will change the fluids on front and rear differentials this weekend.

Washed it for the first time in months since it’s been raining almost every day. Of course it’s supposed to rain tomorrow but I just couldn’t take it any more.

I ordered a new overhead console to replace the one in my Ram. The plastic around the passenger side map light broke away on the old one. Some oversize clumsy oaf just may have pushed on that map light a little too hard.........
