Thanks Jeff. I’m not going to go too crazy with mods. I need to reinstall my viair compressor and tank and train horn that I removed from old truck. Just a few other things I plan on doing at the moment but nothing major

What did you do to your Tow Vehicle today?

Just finished installing an Amp Research side step 2. The truck is so tall I needed something to help me get into the bed

Looks great! I wanted one of those for my Ram, but they don’t make them for my model year.

Surprised. They seemed to have one for all the big 3 brands

I got the pleasure of replacing one of the turn signal lights in the Ram 1500 mirror today. It took longer to find the tool than change the light.

I gave my TV a LOT of love today, And I have to give props to my grandson for helping me. First task on the list was replacement of the rear shocks. I've noticed a slight amount of bounce either towing or solo. Got the truck up in the air and quickly found out I didn't have the one tool I needed to remove the bolts. I needed a 19mm ratchet wrench. Luckily for me our local hardware store had one for a reasonable price. Once the old shocks were off I took a close look at them and it appears they are probably the factory units. Still had the Chrysler pentastar logo on them. They were easily compressed. They were replaced by a pair of KYB Monotube Max shocks. Next we turned our attention to a thorough tune up. Plugs wires cap rotor and PCV valve. The recommended plug gap is .040 and every plug we pulled out was gapped at .075 or more. If the weather holds out for us, we're planning on an oil change tomorrow. We also unboxed, set up and broke in my new Predator 3500 generator. It got run for about 3 hours overall with an oil change after each of the first two hours. All in all, a very productive day.

It's tough to go back isn't it. I daily drive a F150 now but I can't wait to get in the old Cummins once in a while. Apparently, the darn things are addicting after a while.

Absolutely they are. Talk about the perfect machine. Great fuel economy and can tow a house. I miss my Duramax a little more than my Cummins since the one I had shook like hell and there was nothing that could be done about it.

I have a feeling that my wife is actually going to be taking my F150 from me in the near future. I kinda knew that when I got it last spring. She has a 2010 Ram 1500 that is just about on its way out the door. Lots of little problems, HVAC issues, burns oil, etc. We will probably end up selling that one and let her daily drive the Ford until we pick something else up and I'll go back to running the Cummins everyday.

I've got it in my head that want to pick up a dually in the next year or so. We will see how things go, but that may be our next step.

Installed a front hitch. I just bought one for the previous TV but never got a chance to use it and it wouldn’t work on the new truck so I had to order another one.
