Here in Indiana, I just paid $3.15 for diesel. I better add an auxiliary tank before going to PA!

And you might need to sell a kidney or cash in your 401K if you plan on traveling the PA turnpike.

Actually, pretty much just need to avoid this state at all costs.

With that kind of tax you guys must have the smoothest roads in the country. I mean most fuel taxes are for road repair, right? Lol

I managed to put a dent in my front right fender last nite. Entirely my fault and royally pissed is an understatement as how I felt last nite and all day today.

I got on the ole interweb last nite and luckily found a local, mobile dent removal guy. He came over today after I got out of work and went to work on it. This guy is the David Blaine of dent removal. He worked on it for a solid hour and got it COMPLETELY out. Unbelieveable. I am pretty anal about my truck and this guy was so good not only can you NOT see it you cant even feel it. I've looked at it from every angle and felt it over from every angle, with every finger, and in every direction. Gone. To me it wasnt worth what he was charging so I paid him more.
Heres the after...

Hooked up the little 195RB and pulled it out in front of the house for the initial hitch adjustment. It looks a little smaller behind the F-250 compared to the RAM 1500 but it's the next trailer that we got the F-250 for. There is a bit of a crown in the cul de sac but I'm satisfied with the initial measurements and will hit a level parking lot over the weekend for final verification. I've got to hit Tractor Supply tomorrow and get bigger clevis slips for the safety chains as the current ones don't fit the class V hitch.

Replaced the passenger side mirror after modifying it backing out of the garage with it extended. That's a $380 reminder to put the mirrors in after cleaning the truck. At least the only one who saw my bonehead move was the wife, 3 neighbors, and 2 of our son's. I'm sure it will never be brought up again.

Ha! You're funny. That would never happen to me.

Aren't mirrors ridiculously expensive?

A few months ago I put a steering stabilizer on my truck. I had it partially in the garage to get some additional ground clearance. I had my daughter turn the steering to make sure everything cleared then she shut the truck off with the wheel slightly off center. I backed out of the garage and wasn't paying attention and scraped the front fender against the garage door opening.....that was about a $450 mistake I haven't fixed yet. Nobody saw my bonehead move but they heard the expletives coming out of my mouth.

Put $99.75 worth of diesel (25 gallons) into the auxiliary tank for an upcoming trip. Still not full, but close enough. It may not seem like it, but at $3.99 a gallon, it was the cheapest Chevron in town and a real bargain. Ah, the price of RVing in the Golden State.

Yep, same as I paid at Costco here in town. Hurts.

Yep. Had one on each of my previous two trucks. Makes for a nice clean oil change.

When I had an F150 years ago, I tried E85 and I got about 30% less mpg

Co-worker bought a new, 2008 4.7L Ram, two days later, drove it from Omaha to KCMo, then to Topeka and home. Got just a touch shy of 17 mpg. Filled it with E-85 and mileage went from nearly 17 to 7.5 mpg. Price differential was $1.59 for E-85, $2.39 for 100% gas. For 44% savings per gallon, got 55% reward of worse fuel mileage...our government at work. You did know ethanol plant construction, operation, output and transportation cost are taxpayer subsidized? So are the corn farmers who grow the corn for production of fuel alcohol. And the actual cost to produce a gallon of alcohol is about 40% higher than the cost of drilling, refining, transporting and distributing oil derived fuel. Yeah, it worked in Brazil, no, it will not work here until we do things more sensibly than subsidize through taxes. Rant over.
