Thank you guys, I figure that just before our get away Monday I will go for it, I mean what the heck, the bottle said that it last for 6 months, we have a long trip coming up in September so when we go I will see if the bugs stick or slide off.

It was all worth it yesterday making the first 260 mile leg of our trip to Ft. Wilderness. Everything worked great including the a/c thank goodness. Supposed to be even hotter today.

Now that I've got my bed liner and bed cover installed I took it over the CAT scale this morning to get the real empty weight with just myself and full tank of fuel. Tipping the scale empty at 7020 I've still got 2980 available cargo and it is about 260 more than the RAM fully loaded with trailer in tow.

Well it was not today, or even this weekend. I have been changing the head gaskets on my truck, a lot of work and a buddy to help me lift the heads out of the truck and back in. The truck actually started up this weekend, I am almost finished just a few bits left to do. I am very proud of myself for doing this it is the most intense mechanic work I have ever undertaken.

This past weekend we got the trailer de-winterized, powerwashed, and adjusted my hitch for the new TV. Now it's onto figuring out how to get 4 bikes to travel with us, and re-install my camera system on the back.

power washed and brush scrubeed the Jayco, scraped the entire frame by hand, 2 coats of rust converter and 2 coats of rustoleum before taking to a campground to try long term campground parking, really seems a shame not to drag it all around the country but its an experiment.

Also converted the toy hauler garage into an inlaw apartment with its own flat screen TV, couch with pull out-up trundle bed and some decorations.

Got my roof rack from previous truck moved to new truck. For some reason the manufacturer (Rhino rack) doesn’t list a mounting kit for the new body super duty. So I just ordered one from an F150 instead. Now we can bring the kayaks again [emoji3]

Yup, new SD is the same as F150 since body change in 2017. Even the hoods interchange!

How far do the kayaks overhang on wither end Tom, I would have thought this wouldn't be good with a fifth wheel. Might do this myself it doesnt overhang the front too much

I haven’t taken the kayaks with this truck yet but they should overhang the same as the old truck. Plenty of room (if you have a long bed).

Here’s a picture of the kayaks on the old truck. These are small (10 foot) kayaks

Finally got around to getting my transmission leak taken care of. Here's the broken shifter gasket from my G56.

I'm gonna give this stuff a try and wash my truck with it. https://www.amazon.com/Aero-Cosmetic...C4P76QKVEWJNYJ My truck isn't very dirty and since it rains here everyday, I can do this in the garage. If it comes out looking good I'm going to put a coat of Mothers CMX ceramic wax followed by some P&S Beadmaker. Ok I'm bored.

Ran an S-video cable from the rear bumper up to the underside of my dash. I bought a generic wired camera for the TT. The kit included a 26' and 66' section of S cable, 7 in TFT monitor, a camera and a DC plug in adapter to power it all. So far, I'm impressed with the system. Ford certainly didn't make it easy to run wire thru the cab, however.
