Finally got my badges installed. Having trouble getting any decent pics due to the glare that seems to be present at pretty much any angle. Now maybe they'll quit trying to put diesel in it when we stop at stations in Oregon...

Took truck in to check the service 4 wheel drive light coming on. Dealer replaced right side sensor. Was told if it reoccurs the control box will need replacing. So far seems to be fine.

I've seen some complaints about this on ford-trucks.com and it sounds like it may be related to a poor or wet connection in a wiring harness behind the rear bumper.
tt I had the same problem once or twice with mine as well. There's 4-5 connectors around the spare tire area that can be problematic. I got under the truck and every connector I found I took apart and applied dielectric grease and reassembled. Also I applied dielectric grease to the 7 pin connector and haven't had a problem since.

Nice badges. Got a link for those by chance?

Here is the link to the ones I got - they have a variety of styles to choose from. I liked the red Super Duty lettering as it added just a little bit of pop to my somewhat plain XLT trim:

Thanks for the tip. I'll definitely get on that today or tomorrow. At ~3700 total weight the 195RB doesn't pose much of a challenge to the F-250 but nonetheless it did make me nervous as we were heading over some mountain passes. We pick up the new trailer Saturday and with a dry weight of ~6400 I'd like to avoid this in the future.

Gave the beast a wash and wax [emoji3]

For any of you shade tree detailers out there, take a look at Turtle Wax Ice seal n shine. Amazing stuff and it’s very inexpensive. Been using it for a couple of months now and it’s better than Meguiars Hybrid ceramic wax IMHO.

Looks good Tom! I’ll have to try it when I run out of Meguiars.

Have you noticed a better braking performance with these?

The quality looks good. I guess time will tell but the fit and finish are very good. There is a little more vibration and I find myself folding them when I park as the stick out there a ways, which is the point. Let me know if you have any further questions about them or about installation.
Two year update: these have held up really well and have not faded in the sun. The memory function works as good as the original. Would still recommend these to anyone looking to upgrade their 2011 Expedition stock mirrors.

Installed Timbrens. Ok, actually I didn’t feel like crawling around under it and I don’t own a good floor jack, so I had the place I purchased them from do the install while I had a cup of coffee. Felt silly doing so, as it probably took them 10 minutes, but sometimes convenience is nice.

Picked up the trailer and took a drive/scale visit. These things are great.

Yes, very much so. They have been excellent brakes. They made a little bit of noise as they broke in but now are quiet and perform even better. I have also noticed a reduction in brake dust on the rims, and the rotors look good too. Would definitely recommend.

When my buddy and I were installing them, there was another same-year F-150 in the shop getting factory brakes replaced with Ford OEM parts. We compared the rear pads to my PowerStops and the surface area of contact was much greater on my pads than the stock ones.

Technically it was last weekend, but I replaced the bed-mount 7-way plug. My old one was missing the waterproof door and was at the end of its life. Took me longer than I thought it would because the new model I bought was slightly larger in diameter than the original hole in the bed. Nothing a grinding wheel couldn't fix!

Thanks, I have also noticed that there are better brakes than OEM out there. I am new to trucks so I am looking for a good brand for when the time comes.

Thank you.

Well I bought step bars an a hood defelector for the new 2019 Ram. Nothin fit. Bought another set of step bars from another company, didn't fit. Just took all 5 boxes an dropped off at either UPS or Fed Ex to return them. So I guess you can say I made the effort to do something but with no success. Apparently nobody, even Mopar has made any accessories for the 2500 Ram yet. Sigh

It went to the dealer for a grease job on the driveshafts. The last two times on the ramps for an oil change, and all the fittings are pointing straight UP! Couldn't believe the luck.

So I let them do it, and I drank their coffee. Didn't even get dirty!
