Thanks. I love this look so much more. And I actually think that the seats are more comfortable now. Sounds silly, I know, but I don't feel like I'm sliding out of the seat anymore.

Smile Trans service

Flushed and serviced the auto transmission and rear end at 70,000 miles. Checked everything else getting ready for camping season. Have had zero problems with my 2014 Chev Silverado 1500 TWD. Has towed a TT since new and does a great job of it. Should make it to 276K like my last Silverado did. Love my truck.

It was Transfusion Day. Got an oil/filter change, coolant flush, tranny fluid/filter change and new rear diff oil. Ready for a trip next month — fingers crossed.

Ventured to Amarillo, had appointment to change the 'whistling' fuel tank under warranty...two hours they said. Arrived at 1000am, left at 500pm. The shop manual says the tech gets paid 1.7 hours. The boy didn't make much today.

TC, I've been looking at this same brand of sill protectors for our F150, on Amazon. How were they to install? I've read some not-so-great reviews on the off brand protectors, and the main complaint was a lack of adhesion. What's your opinion of the Tufskins?

J, the install was easy as instructions were included. I dry fitted them first and lined them up with the step on top of the sill plate. The material is thick and mimics spray in bed liner stuff. I prepped the surface with alcohol pads [instead of the weird concoction they stated in the instructions] and the adhesion seemed really good. I guess time will tell as I've only had them on 4 days. Bad reviews often come from ill prepared surfaces. The pic I took does these no justice as I took it in my garage and the truck is dirty. In natural daylight, they look fantastic. For 30 bucks I figured what the heck, I'll try 'em, and I really like 'em. Anything I've ever ordered from TufSkinz has always been top notch.

Thanks, TC. The off-brand ones on Amazon are coming loose a lot sooner than 4 days, and are overseas made, so there's inconsistent adhesive.

I'm going to order some for all 4 door sills next week, and hopefully they'll still ship them. I may call Tufskinz first to confirm that. My order for front BumperShelz seem to be held up for a while, according to their website.

Yours look like a really good install. Thanks for the info on them. I appreciate it!

Yesterday I worked on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 5.9 Cummins.
It has 174K miles and thought it would be good to replace the fan clutch.I replaced it with a genuine Mopar clutch.
I also replaced the belt, air filter and fuel filter.Serviced the batteries too.

Wow! They are actually replacing yours under warranty? ALL of the Titans seem to have the whistling sound on filling. Never let it bother me much, and certainly wouldn't have thought to ask to have them swap out the tank. Whistling doesn't impact on the performance or aesthetics of the truck for me. In some ways I like it because the tone changes as the tank nears full, makes it easier to ease off on the fill a bit to get that last bit of gas in.

Had mine 55gal Titan installed by FX Motorsports Amarillo. No whistling but took it back, venting problem. Fixed it with no problem, great customer service.
Hope all is well in Howardwick.

1984 gmc k1500

Got the champion 4 core radiator/derale dual fan and shroud ( with module ) installed. all new hoses and thermostat and the 155 amp alternator. next week i will get the brakes done. I guess that this may be an upside to this darn virus thing, the truck will be in great shape by the time it's over. I loaded some pictures in the picture form ( i think ).

Ok TC, you must stop giving me ideas for our truck. Ordered the sill protectors and an oil separator set up for it today.

I really appreciate the info you post. I ALMOST ordered the cheapo sill protectors, then saw your post on the TufSkinz.

Thanks!

Unfortunately they don't sell those protectors for a Ram. I like the way those look. On the search now

No problem, I think you'll like them. I love spending other peoples money! I liked the fronts so much I ordered the rears tonight for the F-250. For more options on your F-150, go over to FTE, those guys REALLY know how to spend other peoples money!

Thanks for the tip, but I think I've been doing a stellar job on my own, in that regard. Now to see how long it takes to get everything shipped here. I'm expecting a long wait on the BumperShelz I ordered.

Yeah, even Amazon Prime is taking longer than usual but very understandable in today's environment.
