I agree with you 100%! This is my 2nd Cummins and I've started researching replacements, but I'm not really coming up with anything that has proven successful. From what I've read, the Synergy replacement is hit or miss...I'm almost better off replaceing with factory and not letting them weld the nuts!

My truck got new Continental HDR+ shoes on the rear and I repainted the mud flaps.

Don't think it didn't cross my mind! But I'm close to paying this one off!

Does the 2016 have the engine brake like the newer ones do?

Ram is known for not properly fixing known problems. My ram has been in multiple times for two different know issues to be “fixed”.

That statement runs through the entire vehicle line. My 2019 RAM (1500) was reacquired by FCA on January 23 after having filed a Texas Lemon Law complaint on October 1. The service writer at the CDJR dealership quit because he did not agree with the service manager and was transferred to a Ford dealership across town owned by the same company (AutoInc). Found him there last week, he told me Stericycle sent a transport to collect the reacquired vehicles a couple of weeks after they took mine back. Included a Challenger, Charger, two Jeeps and three RAM trucks...all because of service screw ups. I documented this 'transaction' earlier in this thread.

Remember, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence, or so it appears.

In the ambulance service, Chevy and Ford have multiple ongoing issues, and my company buys all new trucks, because of this, I chose to buy a RAM and I have been completely satisfied!

So that explains why you rarely see ambulances towing travel trailers

The 2011’s are third gen. The fourth gens went down hill I would never consider buying another ram or fca product again.

Back in late 1983 I bought a Dodge Daytona from Greenspoint Dodge, Houston. After nine months they bought it back after destroying it in the shop over 112 days. It was purchased four days after enactment of the Texas Lemon Law, didn't even get Corporate involved. Took 36 years, had numerous new cars in between, but had to Dodge the Ram...only two vehicles I ever had problems the dealers couldn't fix. You'da thought I'd learned my lesson... I've had EXCELLENT service and warranty with Ford. The few GM's I've owned have had constant issues, and costs when warranties expired. Having owned a Nissan Frontier and several other Nissan products, I feel secure I will get many trouble free miles from my Titan.
My step-son got 18,000 hrs out of a 6.0 Powresstroke in an F350. On the other hand, his 2008 King Ranch F250 only made 3,000 hrs 146k miles before it ate the cam. Shortblock and now has over 180k on it. Several people I know have Cummins equipped early Dodge trucks and they can't wear the engines out, but the bodies literally fall off them somewhere around 250k miles. Biggest problem is front hubs and brakes on Dodge/Ram trucks in these parts.

I put a PEX valve on the heater core hose to keep the hot coolant out of the cab. It lowered the AC temps 10* to 15*!
