We had a blowout on the 2008 Jeep Wrangler we were towing somewhere near Loveland Pass on Interstate 70 in Colorado. When we reached Denver, I replaced all four tires so that I didn't have to worry about them on the way to Texas. The tires still looked good, but they were seven years old

Truck got some new rubber. Replaced the OEM Firestone Transforce HT’s with a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3’s.

I was wrong about the broken bolts. Per the repair sheet, "Verified concern (my original complaint). Diagnosed by Symptom. When accelerating vehicle, there is a whistling noise present, seemingly tied to building boost in the Turbos. Upon visual inspection of turbos, both sides have exhaust studs snapped off at the exhaust manifold and is causing a leak on both sides, which is causing the whistling noise when both turbos builds pressure."

So, the culprit are broken bolts after all.

Should be finding out something today. I need my truck back within a couple of days. Got a camping trip with my granddaughter next week.

Took our new-to-us Grand Cherokee TV for its first real towing outing.
25 miles to a local state park for the weekend, but my, what a difference the OE towing package makes.
Very happy with the way it rides.
Trying it out in mountains will have to wait for the Fall, but good so far!

Last trip coming home from lake erie ac compressor imploded 30 minutes into our 5 hour drive! 94 degrees outside! Talk about a miserable loud ride home with windows open and 3 young kids! So today I had to put in new compresor, accumilator, flushed the lines and while i was at it through some new belts and a new idler pulley on. Gotta love 15 year old vehicles! Still cheaper then a new car payment

Well.... after owning my RAM 3500 Tradesman for over two years now, I finally installed the Dee Zee DZ43301 Truck Tailgate Assist. Easy install. Works great! My last two trucks had it from the factory and I became spoiled with this feature [emoji12]. $27 well spent!

Today the new DashMat went on. Tomorrow it gets a new set of Bilstein shocks all the way around. Nothing really wrong with the originals, they're just not the same.

I really wish Bilstein made shocks for the Ram’s with factory air suspension, but not yet!

It that because of the range of lift/drop from the air, or is it the mounting arrangement?

Filled up with diesel today. Realized that I put over 6,100 miles on my truck in less than 2 months after resetting the trip meter today! I usually put about 6-7k miles per year on my truck.

Sounds like a good thing to me. At this point, I'm averaging over 14k per year on my truck.

However, the miles this year are probably going to fall off a cliff due to the restrictions brought on by the Wuhan virus.

I dropped it off at a local hitch shop to have a B&W turnover hitch and a in bed brake connector added to the new to me truck. Picked it up three hours later.

Gave it a nice rack for it's 21st birthday:

Now it can do a few more non-towing duties.
