True. Quincy only has two stoplights. Plumas county only has three total. I'm glad I live in Quincy, but I'm thinking reallllllly hard about moving out of state. South Dakota, Black Hills area, sounds really good to a retired USAF vet.

Take your long john’s! Me, I like not having to winterize my TT for freezing temps.

I winterize here in Quincy. This year I blew out the lines with compressed air and added pink stuff to all the traps. A week from now, I'll sanitize my fresh water system because a week from then we'll be camping! Got reservations at Collins Lake. I'm gonna be a busy boy next weekend, getting everything ready to go.

Got 11 acres above Johnsville I camp on all summer. It’s almost time to pull up there and kick off camping season.

Apparently, the sensor in the tank went bad and it's cheaper to replace the entire tank then to replace the sensor. So they are going to replace the recovery tank at my cost. Should be about $300. I figure since they are doing a major repair and I'm not paying for it, I can go for the other. Should have the truck back next Tuesday.

Ram sure has trouble with their fuel sensors. I had one replaced on my truck. Drove it a half mile from the stealership and the new one failed. It’s apparently a common problem on the rams since 2012.

Those wild fires last summer should have been a bit of a problem for you.

Mounted a 2.5 lb. fire extinguisher and bracket in the cab of the tv and found room for a portable 12volt air compressor in the tv tool box.

Detailed after a 5200 mile road trip, and changed wiper blades, actually took me both sat and sun to complete. Oil, filter, and fuel filters next weekend. Averaged 14.7 mpg... Not bad for a F450...

Air up tires, check fluids, hook up and head to the campground today. This will be a 3 week trip to two campgrounds. I won't be packing since I full time and this will just be a spring change of scenery and meeting up with family.

Start from scratch. Pick up a GMC Canyon Tues. And the 212 QB Wed.

Thurs we ought to be good to go.

Yep trucks and trailers are kind of short supply and you have to ferret. We had to settle on white. This won't be pretty. Its mud season here and the roads are dirt.

Yup, The one I just replaced I had in for less than five weeks and took a rock right along the edge of the A-pillar on the passenger side. Immediately cracked across the windshield...

We only get one insured windshield a year. We can get chips every day and we just ignore them till that crack appears and the inspection date nears! We live on dirt roads. Chips are inevitable.

X2 on the above comments. We had to jump quick on our new (to us) Toyota 4Runner purchase.
It's black, which is OK for us. We live on a private dirt "camp" road. The black doesn't stay pretty for long during this time of year. Suspension also gets a good workout: our road looks like a B-52 Stratofortress flew over and carpet bombed it.

Our few year rounders and especially early summer people complain about the camp road that supplies our community. Jim is the association president who has the brunt of complaints.

Suck it up people ( literally !) or pay it up with more money.. You can't have it both ways. Graders are not free.

Do you live on our potholed rutted washboarded quagmire!

Moved here with a months old F-150 that took a rock on US287 near Claude. Didn't crack, got it filled with plastic. Second one on Tx70 north of Pampa months later. Lots of pits from sand and stuff, 48k miles and traded it. The replacement RAM took a rock below Greenbelt dam on Tx70 up near the rear view courtesy of J. Lee Mulligan excavation. Since (then FCA) was going to have to replace it with the headliner (warranty) I didn't worry about it. They ended up putting two windshields in it before divesting me of ownership under lemon law. The replacement Titan made it until January, one year into ownership and bam...have a nice half-dollar whack about 3 inches above wiper just off center....but no cracks. Filled it with polymer filler and so far so good.
