Let the fuel run low, then added Sta-bil Diesel and topped it off the other day. It will be parked for several months, just exercising it every few weeks.

Awesome! Is your OEM EGT probe pre or post turbo? Also, check out the Edge Insight monitors if you ever get sick of looking at your phone all the time for your gauges.

Aired up the tires to "tow pressure" and reinstalled TPMS sensors. Leaving host position Sunday morning after 4 1/2 months.

SWMBO reported a "vibrating noise".

Had her take me for a demo the problem ride. Clearly the sound of a loose heat shield.

Got the truck on the lift. The bolt and clamp holding the cover over one of the catalytic converters were rotted out.

New 5-.8 x 15 mm bolt & nut and a 2.25" muffler clamp. We are good to go!

Crap, forgot to adjust tire air pressure. She mentioned the truck felt "floaty" after we brought the tires up to 40 PSI at the last routine service.

Replaced my liftgate glass button, the OEM switch rubber cover disintergrated (6 yrs old). The new switch button uses a different material.
small screwdriver and needle nose did the trick.

Towed my Designer from Panama City, FL to my home base site in central Alabama. 12.5 mpg. But then again you probably don't want to be behind me. I do pull over to let the speeders get by when on 2 lane roads.

Replaced both power steering hoses. Supply line busted. While doing it I went ahead and replaced the return line as well. Interesting thing when I read the packaging with the new hoses, they recommend new hoses every 25k miles. 30 yrs of driving I have never replaced a hose on any vehicle. And I've had several go well over 100k miles. Who knew???

After my tow from the beach to my home base this past Sunday I left my Designer there and drove to Little Rock, AR to visit my sister for a few days - another 450 miles. During this last trip not towing and driving on flat terrain at a steady 62 mph my TV got 21.5 mpg. I'm obviously very pleased with this and it currently has 153,000 on the odometer. Bone stock and definitely staying that way.

Gave it a wash and scrubbed the bugs off the grille from the most recent outing. Then called the dealer to see about scheduling appt for a couple of minor recalls....

Worked it like the beast it is. Pulled my TT up and down some big elevations changes, and ended up dropping down into Death Valley, temperature 105 degrees today. Ram Tough, baby!

I just finished airing up the rear tires for a trip to Road Atlanta in a couple of hours. The 2015 Petit le Mans is starting at Road Atlanta today. 5 days of racing. Now I only have to get off of the internet, hook up, an drive 250 miles.

Had the dealer change my oil and filter. Used Mobil 1 filter and Mobil Delvac 1 ESP synthetic oil. Hoping for extended oil changes. They had a great deal, hopefully on a good oil, $21.99 a gallon with a $12 dollar a gallon rebate. Makes it almost reasonable to get the oil changed. Hope this is a decent synthetic oil.

On a trip a month ago I watched as the engine and trans temps moved around more than normal. After we got back a pressure test revealed a crack in the radiator under the return hose. That being the case and since it was all apart it got a new radiator, coolant flush, idler pulley, water pump, serp belt, thermostat and radiator cap. The hoses being replaced back in December I reused them. Waiting on a new wheel hub bearings to be delivered for the front currently.

The best investment I made was the back-up camera in January. To keep my marriage a happy one and reduce any tension at the start and end of the trip I installed a backup camera. A quick $20 purchase on Amazon (radio in the Yukon was camera ready) and an hour worth of installation makes for an easy hook up.

Jealous, I was only able to hit Road America this year. Have Fun!

I did this to my truck several years ago. Expensive, but worth every dime.
