I cracked the whip and made the TV bring the TT home on Sunday. We had a great weekend and the 1st tow with the new TV was incredible compared to the 1500 Suburban.

As I wasn't happy with plastic or aluminum gates I had this steel 5th wheel gate fabricated, powder coated and lite up. Dual gate locks on each inside. Totals were $350.

OEM gate @ 64 pounds, this one @ 41 pounds.

Recently installed Weathertech mud guards, installed easily, look great, helps keep mud and debris off of Pinnacle.

I did the same on my f350 and suburban last week. I am not thrilled with them.

Changed the oil & filter. Inspected the underside and brakes. Rotated the tires. Lubed the driveshaft (imagine that zerk fittings!). Changed the differential fluid including cleaning the magnet in the drain plug.

Next week: Tranny fluid and filter!

Compiling a list of parts and fluids needed for 100,000 mile service. Changing both differentials, transmission fluid and filter. Engine oil and filter I already have on hand.

Pulled it out of the garage last night and drove it today...First time it has been driven in over a month. "Camping has been slow for use this year so far"

Drove to the local RAM dealer and set up an appointment to have the exhaust manifold checked. Pretty sure one or more of the studs are broken, which I guess is a common problem with the HEMIs.

Added an Equalizer weight dist. hitch, and also tuned it with a Hypertech tuner for a little more kick.

Dropped my RAM off at the local Chrysler dealer yesterday. Got a call a couple hours later to let me know that both exhaust manifolds, all gaskets and hardware were being replaced 100% under warranty. There were broken studs on both sides, and the manifolds were evidently warped or cracked, too.

Glad they did the job right. I will return there next time I need some work done on the truck- if I can't do it myself, that is.

Gave it a bath after I reconfigured it for "civilian use" (as opposed to towing with canoe on top or hauling dirt). Took the racks off, put the bed mat back in and the tonneau cover back on. It was DIRTY! Looks much better now.

Recently replaced the factory liftgate support arms with Strong Arm gas charged lift supports after the liftgate came crashing down on the DW as she started to climb in...Also removed the rear power window switches on both sides and took apart the switches and gave them a cleaning, now my rear windows go up and down

Studded, no.

Deleted, yes. I got it with one of those cheap delete kits. When I did all the work I did I installed the IPR delete.

Put airbags on the back leaf springs...2009 F150 FX4 Supercrew 5.4L 3.73. Totally convinced that was a good use of 700$.

Vacuumed the cab, caulked where the box floor meets the sides, painted the caulking. I also strolled over to the Co-op farm store and bought enough rubber floor runner to do the box floor and endgate. I didn't screw it down on the floor, nor did I cut it to fit around the wheel wells. I did use four of the screws on the endgate to hold it in place. We now have an "entry level" CAP-IT cap on the truck. Looks pretty!

The Boss and I plan to head off north, hopefully to Whitehorse and Yellowknife, likely on Friday.
