I tore into the right front wheel speed sensor trying to get my ABS light to go off. Apparently rust forming on top of the wheel hub can trigger the speed sensor to throw an ABS code but cleaning the hub did not help. I also noticed the "new" tires the dealer put on when I bought the truck have a 2007 date code.

Auto tranny service and a new transmission cooler. It only has 60k miles, but I want it to last while towing the TT.

The last couple of weeks have been an extremely busy stretch of time for my TV. Started out with a new DU-HA underseat storage system for the back seat and also swapped out the factory mirrors for a set of heated towing mirrors. Followed that up a few days later with a relocation of my P3 brake controller to a more visible location and a full synthetic oil change. Last night we spent about 2hrs installing Firestone Ride Rite air bags in the rear and another hour or so adjusting bag pressure, ball height / angle, and cam length on my Reese DC WD and sway setup. A few skinned knuckles to show for our troubles, but very satifying to see the end results knowing I did it myself (with the help of a couple of buddies and appropriate hydration). Tomorrow...we tow!

I drove it about a hundred miles to pick up my TT at an Exclusively Jayco dealership. All is well even though the check engine light came on for a while on the way to the dealership. It popped on in July while towing but in both cases, it did not reappear after shutting down and restarting the engine.

If you go to an Auto Zone, O' Reilly's, or most parts shops they will run a free diagnostic that will show what error codes are in the ECM. Might head off a problem before it becomes major.

Get that checked. It didn't go away. Its a soft code. Your computer recorded it. Its still there until cleared by a scan tool. Go to AutoZone find out what it is for free. Soft codes are usually minor which generally means cheaper (relative). It will turn into a hard code that will not disapear eventually possibly turning into money. Soft codes can be as simple as a bad 02 sensor or even the gas cap is loose. Simple fixes.

I drove my TV 40 miles each way to meet some camp hosts that I used to host with for a bite of lunch. We hadn't seen each other in a couple of years and it was a fun afternoon.

At last, I got rid of the tube steps and had the original design Dee Zee running boards installed- They are beautiful and very comfortable and safe to step on- As always, I hated to spend the money but am very happy with the outcome- JMHO- DD

Bought a cell phone holder that attaches to the vent so I can use Google Maps as my GPS without having to balance the phone on my lap so that I can see the screen.

Topped off my fuel tank getting ready to leave my summer host position for my home base. I'm not leaving until 9-20, but why wait until the last minute and have to rush?

You're going to want to sump your fuel tank, ton of people (myself included) have run into issues with the factory pickup being too restrictive. Just my .02
