Yes, I just started reading it yesterday. That's a huge mess. I thought the 5.0 was a fairly bullet proof engine, but I'm understanding Ford nearly completely redesigned the 5.0 for 2018 and it's the 2018 engines that are mostly have the problems.

I'm just hoping if my 3.5L EB wants to self destruct, it does so in the next 29K miles. It's still under ESP coverage during that time.

I successfully ripped off my passenger side mud flap today while backing into a parking spot. I guess the curb was a little higher than normal and pushed the flap into the tire and wedged in between the 2. [emoji35] [emoji35]
I already ordered another set from Amazon...and of course you have to purchase as a pair. So I guess now I’ll have a spare for the next time!

In keeping with the mud flap theme, I added some weathertech front flaps to my truck.

Looking good Tom. I got weathertech for the rear on my F450. I’m going to paint them to match the tan color on the bottom of the truck.

That’ll look sharp!

Got my answer today. Can we all say Throttle Body. This is the 2nd one to go bad for me. The first one was at 36k plus a few miles.

Fortunately, I have the Ford ESP so it will only cost me $100 deductible.

That's not bad. Do you have any idea why they are failing?

The over all manager was asking if I did, on the dealer's recommended schedule, have the throttle cleaned, etc. I'm sure I haven't. I do try to do what's recommended in the Owner's Manual. Don't remember seeing it mentioned in the OM. I'll go back and re-read the maintenance schedule again.

I haven't read that on the maintenance schedule on my 2018. I'll also go back and look again, but I don't think I've seen it in there.

I also just re-read my owners manual. Nothing mentioned anywhere about "cleaning" the throttle body. He showed it to me on a flip chart. I'm guess it's part of a revenue enhancement plan used at that dealer.

After 17 years of faithfully pulling our travel trailers, we sold our 2000 Ford F250 7.3 powerstroke last week and purchased a new Ram 2500 SLT Cummins 6.7 diesel. We currently pull a 2017 23RB but a larger trailer or 5th wheel may be in our future.

Thanks for looking. I'll check through mine when I get to work today but I'm sure I will not find anything about it either.

Congrats. I bet the new truck seems like a sports car compared to the old 7.3 [emoji3]

Today I used Forscan to modify my trucks computer a bit.
Those folks with Fords, especially the new body F series, should know about it.

I was able to make the dash display actual temperature reading for the gauges, added the heated/cooled seats to the touch screen (not just the buttons on the dash), ability to open and close my windows with the key fob, and a few other items. Thanks to Klassic for sending me the link to all the codes.

I changed or had the oil changed last week, towed the TT on the 1st trip of the season and replaced the air filter at 15k miles. Kinda needed the new filter. Found a few remanents of some bugs found in the South Dakota region from our trip out west last yr. LOL.
