Wheel Question

We have a 2011 Jay Feather Select 242 with the Aluminium wheels. It presently has GY Marathons 205/75/14 on it, which are load range C. I read you should be under your GVWR by 20% with your tires. The trailer has a GVWR of 6500 pounds so the C tires are a little light @ 7000 pounds total.

I have found a couple of D load range tires in this size but their PSI is 65' which is 15 pounds more then the present tires. Could my rims handle the slightly greater air pressure? I know the PSI rating is stamped somewhere on the rims but the brakes on this thing cover most of the inside of the wheel so I can't find it without pulling a wheel off. So I was hoping someone might know.

If your spare uses the same brand/model rim check it for a PSI rating....., but I would think with an aluminum rim an additional 15psi would be ok, but confirming would be wise.

Sometimes manufactures stamp the ratings on the "inside" of the rim where removing the tire is required.

Give Jayco a call (have your VIN handy), they should have this data.
